I made this poem three years ago when I was so fed up with everything and everyone in my life.. It started with desperation but ended with hope.. It portraits the moment when we can count on no one but God only.. It reminds me that in desperate times, looking around will leave you desperate but looking above will give you peace and hope. And I hope you'll feel the same way :)

O, troubled soul of mine,
why are you so naive?
It will only give you pain
and leave you wondering 'what if's.

This world ain't beautiful as you think,
nor the people lives in it.
No joy to you they bring,
they're just eating you bit by bit.

Only God of all universe is true and faithful,
never a second He forsake you,
the best for you He'll do.
His work is never dull.
He changes man's heart, revives their souls,
giving them new life, new hopes.

So, hold steadfast to His love,
wait patiently for His promises' fulfillment,
be transformed by grace from above
and always live in contentment.
